About Us
We are a group of health professionals who think holistically and passionately about society's obligation to provide quality surgical care for all.
Our Mission
Our mission is to build sustainable, long-term surgical capacity in the Grand Anse department of Haiti by partnering with local healthcare providers and empowering communities. We believe that health is a fundamental human right, and that geography should not determine access to essential surgical care.
What We Do
Direct Surgical Care
We organize specialized surgical trips to perform life-changing operations for patients who otherwise would not have access.
Local Partnership
We work hand-in-hand with Haitian doctors, nurses, and staff, ensuring our efforts support and uplift the local healthcare ecosystem.
Sustainable Training
Through hands-on collaboration, we help train and equip local medical professionals to provide ongoing care year-round.

Our History
The Grand Anse Surgery Project was born out of a profound recognition of the stark disparities in access to essential surgical care. Located in the deeply under-resourced region of Jeremie, Haiti, our founders saw an urgent need to bring expert, compassionate medical intervention to a community often forgotten by global health initiatives.
Over the years, we have grown from a small group of volunteers to a dedicated organization partnering with local healthcare providers. We believe that health is a fundamental human right, and our mission is to build sustainable, long-term surgical capacity in the Grand Anse department.
Pearls of the Caribbean
Jeremie is often called "the city of the poets". Inspired by the rich culture, spirited community, and breathtaking landscapes, some of our volunteers have written their own poetry to reflect on their profound experiences serving in Haiti.
